…. sailors take warning, is how the old adage goes. Is there really a weather phenom that tints sunrises extra-red before big storms? Wondering whether that will hold true as the meteorologists debate how hard this Christmas storm is going to hit in the Duluth area.
Minnesota Public Radio chief meteorologist Paul Huttner says the storm should be all snow up this far north and we could see a foot or more; the local weather guys, taking the Duluth National Weather Service forecasts, are saying 4 to 6 inches … then again they may both be talking about Thursday (Christmas Eve) as opposed to total storm amounts.
I snapped this image at about 7:30 a.m., looking across Glenwood Street in Duluth’s Lester Park neighborhood, as kids were walking to school. Today’s agenda: get snowblower working. Saw up some firewood. Put roof on chicken coop (roosting area actually, optional at this point). Put away anything we don’t want to lose for 4 months. Last minute shopping. Round up skates. Apply for jobs. Breathe.
The last one I’m already doing; must get to the others. Take care!
